Last October you let your voices be heard with regard to a multi-use building at Veterans Park. There is now another issue that has much greater significance.
County Commissioners have approved a straw ballot that asks for citizens’ opinions regarding the reorganization of Fire & Rescue services in Collier County. The vote will take place on March 15 in all unincorporated communities, not Marco Island. The County Commissioners are not obligated to vote for consolidation, however, they have received much encouragement to do so.
MICA supports the need for our community to be heard, and the welfare of our citizens must be at the forefront of governance.
